California Tule Elk PLM Hunt

Our elk hunter will be the only hunter on the ranch for the entire season. Our goal is to only take bulls that score in the high 200's or larger. The season runs from August 1st thru November 30th with the rut usually beginning in late August and lasting thru late September, making this an excellent time to harvest a bull.. Bulls in velvet could be available early in the season.

A deposit of 50% is required. 25% by January 1st - 25% by April 1st. Call for current prices.

Our PLM Tule elk hunts take place on the beautiful Amann Ranch in Covelo, California, neighboring the wilds of the Mendocino National Forest.

The Amann family welcomes the herd and in return, the herd has grown exponentially.  We have worked closely with the Amann family over the years to maintain this idyllic habitat and ensure that the herd thrives.  This mindful stewardship has resulted in a previous B&C world record bull, and the harvest of the current P&Y archery world record bull. 

At 370 acres, the Amann Ranch consists of mostly hayfields and occasional massive oaks.  After the hay is harvested, the sub-irrigated fields regenerate creating a lush, favorable food source for the Covelo elk herd. We are only just beginning to discover this herd's massive potential

The PLM Tule Elk season runs from August 1st to November 30th and with only one tule elk Bull tag, and one tule elk Cow tag available, the hunter can be assured of the great advantage of a non-pressured hunt.

Mendocino County General Draw Bull Elk Hunts - Unit 328

This is not a PLM hunt but hunters will be hunting private property. This is a general draw hunt. If you are successful in the draw and want to increase your odds of getting a quality bull this is an excellent opportunity. Trespass fees to hunt these ranch's will be a minimum of $5000. Call for additional information.
